The Polkadot Anti-Scam Team protects the community by monitoring for phishing scams, providing educational resources, responding to fraud cases, and collaborating with partners to raise awareness and prevent future scams.
The Polkadot Anti-Scam Team is dedicated to protecting the Polkadot community and safeguarding users from phishing scams. One of the main activities of the team is to actively monitor websites and social media platforms for potential phishing attempts.
Combat scams raising awareness through providing educational resources. These include infographics, online guides, videos, etc. By educating people on the characteristics of phishing scams, users can become more equipped to recognize and avoid these scams.
The reactive track is responsible for investigating and responding to instances of scams in the Polkadot ecosystem assisting users who have lost their funds due to fraudulent activities. The aim is to identify malicious actors and prevent further scams by working with entities like Merkel Science.
The outreach track works closely with the educational track to help spread the word about different types of scams and how people can protect themselves from them. We also collaborate with other entities reach a wider audience and share information about common scams and fraud prevention tactics.
